Reasons for Unemployment

It is a clear fact that people have to work in order to earn a living or meet their demands but unemployment is a serious problem which affects every one of us negatively. As we all know, people want to live in better living conditions but they can live very well only if they have certain qualifications such as having a good career or in simplest way a well-paid job. For these reasons, people strive to find a better job and improve their life standards. Most of the time, whatever a person does, he cannot find a suitable job because of unemployment which has a number of reasons and effects. Among those reasons for unemployment, three of them come forward:  insufficient and wrong goverment strategies, lack of education, and immigration.

To start with, insufficient and wrong government strategies contribute to the increase in jobless people. In some countries, governments cannot decide on the right recruitment policies, invest in the wrong working fields, or neglect agricultere and husbandry in the places where the rate of educated people is very low. This results in insufficient recruitment and demand and supply gap. To exemplify, there are hundreds of thousands of teachers who graduated from good quality universities in Turkey, but they are unable to find a job for years. This issue can be associated with wrong investment and educational policies. Therefore, one of the precautions that should be taken by the government to curb the unemplyment is to enable new working areas proper for the conditions of a region and features of the citizens living there.

Secondly, lack of receiving a good quality education or a basic education is one of the foremost causes of unemployment. Given the fact that finding a job nowadays is not easy, people feel obliged to develop themselves and struggle to become more qualified by taking certain courses, and so on. Especially parents pay a fortune to make their children well educated because they think that only if their kids develop themselves in diverse areas, receive a good quality education, or learn several languages can they find a job and lead a good life in the rest of their life. Nevertheless, a significant number of people all around the world are devoid of having a good education on account of their financial problems or cultural backgrounds, such as gypsies or people living in disadvantaged rural places, as in Africa. As a matter of fact that people who graduated from very good schools have better carreer, in our modern age we should impreve ourselves every passing second.

Thirdly, immigration, which is a common problem both neationally and internationally, plays a significant role in the rise of unemployment. Most people immigrate to other cities or countries due to terrorism, unemployment, or political reasons with the hope of finding a job or achieving the American dream. Often, the number of jobs available, particularly if the country they have immigrated to is undeveloped or underdeveloped is not sufficient for these people. The same situation can be observed in big cities as well. For instance, people living in Turkey prefer to work in Istanbul, Bursa, or Kocaeli, which naturally increases unemployment in there. Although people prefer to live or immigrate to certain big and more industrialised provinces just because they have a host of plants and factories, it is a fact that these cities with their current facilies are not capable of meeting the demand for more jobs.immigration, which is a common problem both neationally and internationally, plays a significant role in the rise of unemployment. To sum up, unemployment which has a lot of causes is a critical problem for both citizens and their states because unemployed people cannot  earn enough money to meet their basic needs, which leads to bigger problems within the society. It is an obvious fact that money talks in our materialistic and consumption-based world, so I suggest that governments should create new employment areas, invest more money in the right sectors, and enable its citizens to have a good education and develop themselves in every respect in order to deal with unemployment successfully.
