University education is one of the most important steps in a person’s life. If people think about their future and they intend to have a good career, they will have good job opportunities and they will guarantee their lives. Therefore, universities are being preferred by more and more people. As in Turkey, this high rate of demand increases the number of universities the world over and universities can be divided into two groups: state universities and private universities.
First of all, state universities are very popular in Turkey since they charge low tuition fees and they are well-established. Even though there are a number of state universities, only few of them have a worldwide reputation. Furthermore, not all state universities offer the same educational and recreational facilities. Hence, students are very selective about which university they should enroll at.
Another type of higher education is private universities. Parents pay a great deal of money for private universities. However, they are not satisfied with them in our country. Briefly, as their prices are very high, only well-off students can receive education at private universities. Moreover, if students get a very high score in their university entrance exam, they will be awarded a scholarship. In other words, private universities attract either very successful or very affluent students.
In conclusion, when we are aware of how important getting university education is, we will have a big advantage in life. To be able to make use of this advantage, a student must study hard. I fervently believe that higher education is very important for a country’s future, and thus if it has got a lot of innovative universities and conscious people, it will go on existing and developing.
