The world has expanded and its population has been going up dramatically, so needs for energy and consumption have also increased. We pollute the environment to encounter the needs. The world and the creatures that live in the wild are being damaged. We all know that we must curb our consumption and impurity or we will soon be drowning in our own mess. The best solution to reduce pollution is recycling. Recycling programs abound these days but people do not conform to them and put their used plastics, paper, glass, and metals into recycling bins. What is at issue is how we can get more people to recycle. Several campaigns can be launched as it was done before in some countries. Among these countries are Mexico, Canada, and Turkey. They have proposed solutions, such as the Mexican government’s “Bring the trash, take the fruits and vegetables.” campaign, the Canadian government’s “Waste battery collection” campaign, and the Turkish government’s “Smart box pugedon” campaign.
The Mexican government has made an interesting campaign to encourage its citizens to recycle. It offered to give fruits and vegetables to those who bring their waste to recycle centers. Thanks to these campaigns, aiming to increase the rate of recycling, the Mexican government has been successful. The prime minister of Mexico stated that they could increase the recycle this year through such campaigns.
Another campaign which has helped to increase recycling is in Canada. The Canadian government has taken into account the problem of waste batteries. When waste batteries throw away unconsciously, it is claimed that it severely damages the environment and millions of creatures die in a square field just because of these batteries. Therefore, the Canadian government has supported the use of rechargeable batteries. Also, it passed several laws for the recycling of waste batteries at the Parliament.
Lastly, there are remarkable campaigns in Turkey to draw attentions to recycling as well. The smart box pugedon was produced by a Turkish firm to provide food and water for street pets. The only thing you need to do is to put the remains of food into the box. When these remains are put into the box, street cats and dogs, and even birds have the chance to survive. Briefly, this is a very effective way of our responsibility for other living beings in the environment.
In summary, if these projects are sought to improve, our environment will be much less damaged to meet the energy needs of growing world population. I believe that it is always possible to save our environment and the creatures living in the wild if we act reasonably, sensibly, and sensitively.
