Over the last few years, the number of parents who do not want to send their children to school has been rising substantially, particularly in Europe since they believe that teachers at school are not good enough to make their children’s behavior better. Although there are many advantages of education at home by parents, I do believe that parents are the first educators but not the best teachers.
In some cases, parents may be called the best teachers since they shape their children’s attitudes in early ages. Besides, they spend more time with their children than teachers at school, and thereby having more experiences and better understanding of their children in comparison with teachers. On the other hand, there are a wide range of reasons why families are not best teachers. One of the most significant reasons is that the vast majority of parents are not qualified and educated enough to give a formal training, in other words, they are devoid of formal education on how to improve their children’s behavior in the best possible way, which most of the time misleads their children’s future life. Therefore, parents should send their children to school in order to enable them to receive better education from professional teachers. Another important reason is that children had beter make as many friends as possible at school to socialize and learn how to live together with others. If children receive education just from their parents, they will most probably suffer from forming good and sound relationship with others in their daily life
To conclude, in spite of the fact that parents play a role in children’s education, they are not the best teachers. Teachers at school can be considered best teachers since they can help children tackle a lot of life problems thanks to their formal education
